This 30 minute edition of Foreign Correspondent on ABC is a good news story, set in Zimbabwe, where Rhinos have thrived under the protection of some dedicated conservationists in a wildlife sanctuary. In 1998, the privately-funded Malilangwe Trust had a population of 28 white and 28 black rhinos, imported from South Africa. Today its rhino population numbers in the hundreds.
The initiatives of the Trust include educating, inspiring and creating opportunity for some of Zimbabwe’s orphans to work with the team to continue the invaluable work and become the future generation protecting these magnificent creatures.
If you ever needed reminding that we all do make a difference, this is an essential watch.
